Raised Bed a Star Producer

Volunteer zinnia. They were in the same bed in 2013!
The Fast, Easy, Cheap Raised Bed that I posted two years ago is all grown up! And WOW has it!

The original raised bed has become such a dependable, prolific produce generator, we built 9 more!

Two or more crops come out of the raised bed each year.

We pile...
on the grass clippings as mulch until it's spilling over the sides!

Between plantings, I pack the grass clippings and top the whole bed with whatever cheap compost is available.

A few times each season, chicken manure is sprinkled over the soil.

Since bell peppers don't can or freeze well, we dehydrate whatever we aren't going to use right away!
